Happy New Year!  We are entering into a new year with excitement!

My family and I are proud to call Mississippi home. In the south hospitality is as real as our southern drawl. We love you, your mamma, your grandma, and make no mistake … we know them all. So when it comes to our economy we are grateful for every sale made in the state because it helps all of us continue to live here and raise our families.

Don’t we all love to support the home team? I applied to be part of Genuine MS and crossed my fingers that they would accept me. So you ask, “What is Genuine MS and why is it important?”

The program guidelines developed by the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce (MDAC) to promote products proudly created or produced by Mississippi farmers, artisans, entrepreneurs and manufacturers.

The purpose of the Genuine MS program is to increase public awareness of Mississippi’s farm, food, crafted and fabricated products by branding them as Genuine MS and to provide a centralized website to display members’ products and stories in order to increase the sales of members’ products.
