Tips for teaching kids to sew!

My absolute biggest tip for teaching kids to sew is to focus on instant gratification by giving them simple projects they can start and finish in one single sitting!

I always recommend pre-cutting their fabrics and handling any tricky appliques ahead of time so they can jump straight to the fun part.

Sewing is about so much more than perfectly straight stitches; it pours so much joy, therapy, and confidence into their hearts. Just remind them that even if a project isn't flawless, nobody will ever know the difference, and they should just be so proud of what they made because grandma said so!
