Tic-Tac-Toe Play Mat Quilt

I am so excited to share our latest tutorial for the Tic-Tac-Toe Playmat Quilt! With permission from Missouri Star, we've taken their fun pattern and put our own spin on it by turning it into the most precious, quick-to-make rag quilt. This is the absolute easiest, fastest, and most adorable baby or kid's gift ever, and you can totally customize it with any fabric to fit a girl, a boy, or even something gender-neutral!

In this video, I walk you through the entire process—from laying out your nine 10-inch block sandwiches (one piece of fabric face down, two layers of flannel, and one piece of fabric face up) to sewing an X across each one. Once our blocks are ready, we join them into three rows of three, making sure our wide seams are on the outside so we can clip them perfectly. As we sew our rows together, remember to match up those seams, and of course, backstitch every time just like grandma said!
