The Little Ladies Quilt

Hello, my sweet quilting friends! Tami Jones here! I am just so excited to share this project with you. We are using my brand-new collection, Little Ladies, and these fabrics are just precious! This quilt is all about big, beautiful blocks that make the whole process fast, attainable, and totally beginner friendly. 🌟

If you have ever felt overwhelmed by tiny pieces, this is the project for you! We are making massive 28-inch blocks, which means with just six of them, you have an entire quilt top ready to go!

Piecing Your Giant Blocks

In this project, we focus on building individual blocks that come together like a dream. Because they are so large, they are perfect for an afternoon of sewing. Each block uses a mix of 10x10, 5x5, and 5x10 pieces. I love mixing and matching the colors from the collection, so each block feels unique but still part of the family!

The secret to these big blocks is keeping your seams straight and following Grandma’s golden rule: always backstitch when you start and stop. It ensures your treasure stays together for years to come! 👵

Putting the Quilt Together

Once you have your six giant blocks finished, the magic really happens! We set our blocks into three pairs to create the final layout. Even if you were making a much larger quilt, the rules stay exactly the same.

With six blocks, this quilt ends up being a great size for snuggling. If it feels a little small for what you need, just add a border! A simple 4-inch border can turn a small throw into a perfect twin size treasure for movies or naps.
