Lion Yarn Tassle

I am so excited to step away from the sewing machine for a minute to share this fun tutorial on making the most precious Lion Yarn tassels! After a recent trip to H&H where the sweet folks at Lion Brand gave me some beautiful, chunky yarn, I used a handy little tool from Clover to whip up something outside of my usual quilting. (Because I don’t crochet, but I still love to create!)

In this video, I walk you through the entire process of using an adjustable tassel maker. You’ll see how easy it is to wind your yarn (remember to pull from the center of the skein so it doesn’t get tangled!), tie off the center securely with a double knot, and cut the bottom to create a beautifully thick tassel. Because the yarn is so wonderfully fat, the finished product totally looks like those whimsical trees from the Lorax!

It is such a fun, beginner-friendly craft that comes together so fast and is perfect for adding to curtain rods, bags, or home decor. Grab your tassel maker and your favorite chunky yarn, and follow along with me in the Lion Yarn Tassel Video!
