Gingham Glory Quilt Block Tutorial

Hello, my sweet sewing friends! I am just so excited to show you the Gingham Glory quilt block! This is a classic design that comes together so fast because we are working with big, beautiful 18 inch finished squares. 💖

I am using my Little Ladies collection for this project, and I just love how mixing and matching the colors makes the whole quilt look so vibrant and intentional! 🌟

Quick Step by Step: The Gingham Glory Block

1. Cutting Your Squares To make an 18 inch finished block, cut nine squares at 6.5 inches each. For each block, I use five squares of one fabric and four of another to get that perfect gingham look.

2. Sewing and Backstitching Place your squares pretty sides together and sew a straight quarter inch seam. Don’t forget to backstitch at the start and stop because my grandma always said so! 👵

3. The Ironing Situation I love using my wool mat and Oliso mini iron right at my table to keep things flat and crisp. It really makes your finished blocks look so much better! 🧼✨

4. Joining the Rows Put your rows pretty sides together and sew them down. The big secret here is to make your seams match! Whether you have to "pinch, pleat, or pull," make sure those intersections line up perfectly.
