Garden Rows 1
We are continuing to take some of our favorite Missouri Star Quilt Company patterns and putting our own cozy spin on them by turning them into rag quilts. For this one, I am using the most precious fabric we found at Block Therapy that the little ladies just absolutely loved!
In this video, I walk you through the entire process—from sewing 23 of your 4-inch strips together (pretty side to pretty side) to carefully trimming those selvages. We will cut a 6-inch section right through those sewn seams and attach a beautiful, long center border strip to break up the pattern. Once our blocks and borders are in rows, we join them together making sure to match up our seams perfectly (remember to pinch it, pleat it, or pull it!), and of course, backstitch every time just like grandma said!
It is such a fun, beginner-friendly twist on a classic pattern that comes together so beautifully. Plus, you will have those gorgeous raw edges in the center and all the way around to create that signature rag quilt look!
