DIY Casserole Carrier
I am just so tickled to show you how to make this super easy, ten-minute beginner-friendly casserole carrier! You start with four pieces of fabric cut to 13 by 17 inches and two pieces of Insul-Bright to keep your dishes warm. Just remember that Insul-Bright has metal in it, so please don't use it for anything going into the microwave unless you want a fireworks show! You simply layer your fabric to make a sandwich with the insulation in the middle and quilt it with some diagonal lines or a simple X to hold everything together. I always make sure to backstitch when I start and stop because my grandma said so, and it really does make your work last.
To finish it off, you just wrap the edges in some darling double-fold bias tape for a professional look that is just as practical as it is precious. It fits a standard 9 by 13 dish perfectly and makes the most wonderful handmade gift for your next potluck! Happy sewing, everyone! I love you all! !! 🥰🧵🥘
