Apple Pie Pretend Play Tutorial

Let's make some pretend apple pies! This is a great project if you have little people, or for those who teach the little people! 

If you are looking for a fun and incredibly cute project to make for your favorite teacher's pretend play centers, this apple pie craft is for you! I use some felt, one-inch pom poms, and simple mini pie plates (make sure to grab the sturdy ones from Amazon!) to make the absolute sweetest felt apple pies for the little ladies' kindergarten classroom apple orchard.

It is a super simple process where we cut out felt circles for the bottom crust, fill them with pom-pom "apples", and then weave and straight-stitch half-inch strips of tan felt to create a beautiful lattice top. It is perfectly beginner-friendly, wonderful for practicing pattern-making, and guarantees hours of sweet pretend play year after year!
