If you missed part one, we finished the main bag, but today is all about those professional finishing touches. We’re going inside the bag to cover up those raw edges with some beautiful bias tape! 🧵💖

How to Apply Double Fold Bias Tape

  • [00:36] Understand the Fold: Double fold bias tape folds in once and then in again. Open it up all the way to get started.

  • [00:41] The First Pass: Lay the raw edge of the tape to the raw edge of your bag's interior. You'll want to sew right inside that first crease line of the tape.

  • [01:45] Tip for Starting: Leave a little tail at the beginning without sewing it down. That way, when you come back around, you can tuck the end inside for a clean, professional finish without reaching for the seam ripper! 🤫

  • [02:10] The Natural Fold: After the first seam is done, the tape will naturally want to fold right over those raw edges. It creates such a clean, pretty look!

  • [02:32] The Top Stitch: Now, just sew close to the edge of the folded tape all the way around. I like to sew mine so close it looks like it's about to fall off the project, but you just go as close as you feel comfortable!
