DIY Tiered Tea Party Trays
Let’s take a little break from our sewing and get back to working on our Alice in Wonderland tea party! In this tutorial, we are making the absolute cutest tiered trays for the kid's table. Because it is a children's table, I wanted something a little less breakable than traditional china, so I picked up some beautiful melamine plates from Walmart and grabbed some sturdy glass candlesticks from Amazon. (The great part is, no drilling or screws are required!)
I’ll show you how simple it is to use Gorilla Glue to attach the candlesticks right between your plates. If your plates have slight indentations on the bottom like mine do, it makes finding the perfect center an absolute breeze! We’ll stack them up, mixing and matching colors to get that perfectly charming, mismatched Mad Hatter vibe. You can try to measure to ensure everything is perfectly level, but I think a slightly wonky stack just adds to the character and charm of the party. These trays came together so quickly and are going to hold the most precious treats for our five-year-olds!
